U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) extended the filing deadline to respond to agency requests or decisions. The deadline extension applies to USCIS decisions, notices, and requests issued between 1 March 2020 through 15 January 2022. The deadline extension applies to requests for evidence, continuations to request evidence (N-14), notices of intent to deny, notices of intent to revoke, notices of intent to rescind, notices of intent to terminate regional centers, motions to reopen an N-400 application pursuant to 8 C.F.R. 335.5, N-336 Form, and an I-290B Form. Petitioners and applicants must file their responses to these notices and requests within 60 days after the due date written in the request or notice. For the N-336 and I-290B Forms, the relevant parties must file these forms within 60 days from the decision’s date. The deadline extension applies to people applying for nonimmigrant status, family and employment-based petitions, adjustment of status, and naturalization.
